The Endless Blooming of Little Eyes

Look into the eyes of your little daughter's in the cradle,

the endless blooming of the petals of a rose,

and you'll *feel a whole beginning of life.

Life is a beginning itself and has nothing more desirable.

 

If you are an adult,

look at the eyes of your lovely kitten,

and you’ll feel what you think life is.

'cause you are a life already born.

 

If you have so much knowledge,

try to find out what you think the most sublime is,

and you can imagine only what you can reach,

 'cause you are already grown up.                  

 

If you wanna feel life is a whole beginning with every end,

look deep through the eyes of your little daughter's in the cradle,

and you'll feel the endless blooming petals of a rose

from the inner core of  soul.

요람에 든 딸아이의 눈동자를 들여다보세요,

그 끝없이 피어나는 장미의 꽃잎들을,

그럼, 그대는 삶이 하나의 시작임을 느낄 겁니다,

삶은 시작이며 이미 더 큰 바램이 없다는 것을.

 

만일 그대가 어른이라면

사랑스런 아기 고양이의 눈을 들여다보세요,

그럼,  그대는 그대가 생각하는 삶을 느낄 겁니다.

왜냐하면 그대는 이미 태어난 한 생명이기 때문이죠. 

 

만일 그대가 매우 많은 지식을 지니고 있다면

그대 생각에 가장 숭고한 것이 무엇인지 알아보세요,

그럼, 그대는 그대가 가닿을 수 있는 것만을 떠올릴 겁니다,

왜냐하면 그대는 이미 어른이 되었기 때문이죠.

 

만일 그대가,

삶은 제각각 끝이 있는 하나의 시작이자 전부임을 느끼시려면

요람에 든 딸아이의 작은 눈동자를 가만히 들여다보세요,

그때 비로소 그대는 느낄 겁니다,

영혼의 내핵(內核)에서 끝없이 피어나오는

한 송이 장미의 꽃잎들을.
